16 Sep POLARIS ARTISTS: SANTIAGO BOSCH

Santiago Bosch is a Venezuelan pianist, keyboardist and composer. Despite his young age, he is already being identified by some great names in the contemporary jazz world as one of the most relevant artists within this genre for the years to come. He began studying piano at age 9 and started to play professionally at 16, being immediately noticed by the jazz community in his origin country. Bosch recorded his first studio album (“Guaro Report”) in Venezuela during 2011, before participating in a large number of festivals and sharing performance dates with some icons of the jazz world like Dennis Chambers, Jeff Berlin, Scott Henderson, Yellowjackets and Stanley Jordan, among others.

Among many career highlights, Bosch traveled to the U.S. as a cultural ambassador, sponsored by the State Department of the United States to represent Venezuela during a cultural exchange program on American music, where he participated in various performance and educational activities in the cities of Chicago, Nashville and Washington, performing a final concert at the prestigious Millennium Stage in the Kennedy Center (Washington, DC). He is currently established at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, performing his new works to growing audiences and taking the spotlight to his outstanding composing and playing skills.
